Review + Swatch - Maybelline 24hr Color Tattoo in Permanent Taupe

Hey lovelies!
I was definitely one of the people that fell very quickly for the colour tattoo hypes and boy I fell deep, I own three colours but today I'll be focusing on Permanent Taupe! On today's review I'm going to be introducing the idea 'PULCAP' which stands for...
Packaging
Uses
Longevity
Colour Payoff
Application
Price
I'd love for some feedback on this in regards to whether I've left something out or if you like the idea or not cause if so then I'll use this method for all my reviews, if not then there's no harm done!

PACKAGING

Packaging wise these remind me of MAC's paint pots and I think that was the idea that Maybelline were going for, the container has a clear base with the logo and brand on the bottom with a screw lid (much better for popping in handbags) with the colour on the top.

USES
Uses wise, the possibilities are endless with the different looks you could make with this, you could use it as a base for your eyeshadow, or as an eyeshadow itself for a quick lazy I-still-made-an-effort sweep across the lid.

LONGEVITY
As there name suggests '24 Hour Tattoo' they are very very long lasting!! It doesn't budge in the slightest and acts as a primer for eyeshadows to prolong their wear too.

COLOUR PAYOFF
The colour is exactly what you see in the packaging, however the intensity can vary, the above picture shows it blended out however you could very easily pack this on with a normal eyeshadow brush for a more intense look.

APPLICATION
Texture wise it just melts as you warm it up with your fingers with a cream/gel formula, it's so smooth but does tug slightly when blending out on the skin so I'd definitely recommend using fingers with this product unless you want an intense look.

PRICE

Leave a comment and let me know your opinion on the Colour Tattoos and my new review method (PULCAP) love yas!

Hey lovelies!
Another product I've been lucky to receive is the Nars Limited Edition Duo Eyeshadow in Fashion Rebel* from HQ Hair which consists of a bright yellow and purple eyeshadow as pictured below. I will be doing a look using this eyeshadow as it's quite amazing how nice both colours look on the eyes considering I'm a complete nude eye person!

Sigma Brush Dupes From Colorfulonline.com?!

Hey lovelies! If you saw my previous haul post/video from colorfulonline.com then you will have saw this Six Plus 12 Piece Brush Set before! Today I'm going to be comparing it to the Sigma Make Me Cool Essential Kit, although I don't actually own this brush set I'm going to compare the similarities through the pictures on their website.

BRUSH HOLDER
The first picture above and below show that both brush sets come in a brush holder which is sooo similar, it's the same colour, it fastens the same way, as well as having the logo in the same place!

THE BRUSHES
I've actually lined up the brushes exactly as they are on the Sigma website and the Six Plus Brush Set have the exact same brushes! Even the colour of the bristles are spot on with Sigmas! I couldn't believe this when I got opened the Six Plus Set, especially since the website itself sells onto companies and puts other companies logos on their products, for all we know this could be the Sigma brush set just without the logo and large price tag! As for softness, the Six Plus ones are amazing, if the Sigma ones are softer than I'd be super impressed!

PRICE
The Sigma brushes retail at $120/£79 on the Sigma website but you also have to pay £11 postage if you live in the UK so that's another thing to consider, however I know there are some UK stockists so you may not have to fork out for postage.
Whereas the Six Plus brushes are $28/£18 and are sooo much more affordable if you just want to try them out and see what use you get out of the brushes and if you use them none stop then you could splurge on the Sigma ones or simply just repurchase the Six Plus ones! If you don't like the blue brushes/holder then you can also get it in purple, just simply search 'Sixplus 12pcs' on colorfulonline.com and the two different colours should pop up!

I hope you liked this kind of post, if you have any questions or any make up dupes whether it be brushes or not then please leave a comment below as I'd love to know some more!

Sunglasses from Speckyfoureyes.com

Hey lovelies! Recently Speckyfoureyes.com contacted me and offered to send me some sunglasses of my choice and I instantly fell in love with these, they are so versatile and aren't toooo big for my small head (I think), which is normally an issue when sunglasses shopping. I've been wearing these non stop over the last week and a half due to British weather FINALLY being lovely and sunny and they have gone with every single outfit.

These 'Stylish Designer Sunglasses'* retail at £15 which I think is a average price that you would find in Topshop/River Island, maybe even a little bit less. I chose them in the colour cream but they are also available in black, lilac and red - the lilac ones are beautiful also!

Now here are some cringy photos of me rocking the sunglasses!

What are your favourite sunglasses? Have you ever bought from Speckyfoureyes.com? Leave a comment below and let me know! :)

Get Ready With Me (GRWM) - NE Blogger Vintage Social Event!

Hey lovelies! If you saw yesterdays post about a Blogger event I recently attended then you may have realised I never included any pictures of me on the day, instead I recorded a GRWM video! I don't normally do my make up this heavy and only did so in order for it to last the entire day!

What do you think of this look? Would you like me to do more GRWM videos?

The NE Blogger Vintage Social Event

Hey lovelies! So not too long ago I attended the NE Blogger Vintage Social with my lovely friend Megan from thumbelinalillie.com who you may have heard me mention before - please pop over to her blog and let her know I sent you and vote for her in the cosmo blog awards if you like what you see :)
The event was ran by the North East Bloggers who are the lovely Amy and Shannon as well as some additional help from Katy. It was held at a beautiful little tea room called Serendipity which has the prettiest interior as pictured below! The writing on the door reminds me of Sabrina The Teenage Witch :') - blast from the past!

After arriving we were dedicated to certain seats and weren't allowed to sit next to the people we arrived with as this was a social event therefore we had to socialise and meet other people - I absolutely loved this idea and the girls on my table were sooo nice and lovely, the conversation just flowed. The girls on my table were Tasha, Laura and Amy I'd definitely recommend checking out their blogs! We then ordered drinks and cake, we all got a slice of chocolate cake and I ordered a pot of tea which came with the cutest tea cosy!! Afterwards we played a game were we had to write a celebrities name on a sticky label and stick it on someone else's head and they had to guess what their label said by asking questions with yes/no answers, I was Katie Price :').

As well as having cake, tea and playing games there was also a hairdresser there offering to do different vintage roll hair styles, the pictures below are Megan being very brave and getting her hair done. Other pictures include a cute little business stall there called Senor Picklesworth which had the cutest dog themed products! The bottom middle picture is Tasha looking adorable with one of the gimmicks we were given to take pictures with!

And of course, in true event fashion, there was a giveaway and a goody bag! The giveaway included products from Serendipity itself, my online jewellery website as well as a Senor Picklesworth goody! I was very very lucky and won a rolling pin and pastry brush as pictured below which is available from Serendipity, the goody bag was amazing too! We were given a list of all the people and blogs who attended the event which is something really unique to do as it means we can all connect with each other even if we never spoke on the day. There was also a nail varnish, a benefit goody, a benefit magazine, a body shop tub which will be so handy when travelling and last but not least, a sweety mix from Sweet Home Alabama!

I just want to give a big big thanks to Amy, Shannon and Katy for putting on this amazing event and helping us bloggers bond and get to know one another a lot more :)! Oh and a big thanks to Megan for attending the event with me - don't forget to vote for her ;).

Thank you for reading, have you ever been to Serendipity before? How cute is the interior!?

Liebster Award! #3

Hey lovelies! Recently I was nominated for the Liebster award by Becky from Geek Gets Glam

I've actually had this award before so I'm going to skip the 11 facts about me and get straight to the questions sent from the lovely Becky!

Q1. If you could see any band/musician live, who would it be?
A1. If any of you know me reading this blog you will know I LOVE Beyonce, I've already seen her live but I'd definitely chose her to see again! (OR Westlife haha!)

Q2. What three things would you take to a desert island?
A2. I'm going to take a different approach to this question haha, I'd take a boat big enough to take me home and a sailor to help me get home as I'd be useless and then rather a camera or enough food to help me get by! Now how's that for an answer ;)

Q3. What beauty tool can you not live without?
A3. Oooo what a tricky one, does this mean tool as in brushes or a make up product? Imma go with make up product, I couldn't live without mascara!!

Q4. Why did you start blogging and what is the most enjoyable thing about blogging?
Q4. I started blogging when I made singing YouTube videos and then gradually I started making beauty videos and here I am now becoming a proper bblogger haha! The most enjoyable thing has got to be the conversations I have with other people about make up whether it's through commenting, inboxing, tweeting, bbloggers chat, blogger events - you name it - I love it!

Q5. If you could bring back any limited edition/hard to find beauty product, what would you choose?
A5. Limited edition wise I wouldn't have a clue! But as for hard to find beauty products I'd definitely make Lime Crime lippies, Wet n Wild Products, Milani products AND Mac Show Orchid a LOT easier to find! (Or I could just move to America!)

Q6. What was your most recent purchase?
A6. Erm my most recent purchase is actually a secret for a future swap with Megan from Thumbelina Lillie haha but my most recent beauty-ish purchase is a Yankee Candle in the scent Vanilla Frosting - OMG amazing!

Q7. What is your favourite type of blog post?
A7. This has got to be reviews with swatches especially lipsticks on pale skinned girls on their actual lips so I can tell whether it will suit me or not instead of just a swatch on the hand!

Q8. What is the TV show you watch the most?
A8. I don't really watch that much TV but I will never ever miss an episode of TOWIE - even when I was revising I still watched it haha!

Q9. If you could be a celebrity for the day, who would you be and why?
A9. Ooo this is an interesting one, I would most probably be Beyonce just because I love her so much! (I know I'm obsessed!)

Q10. Do you have any tattoos?
A10. Nope not yet, I don't know if I ever will because of the type of job field I want to get in to (psychologist) I would have to have them covered up at all times.

Q11. If you won the lottery, what would be the first thing you would buy?
A11. Hmmmm, this one has my clog wheels turning! I'd most probably buy somewhere to live so I could have a place to call my own if I was thinking sensibly, howwwwwwwever, I probably would just go wild on MAC or something crazy like that and blow a load of money on make up haha!

Thank you so much for nominating me Becky! It was nice to read your post and get to know you! As I've said, I've done this post before therefore I won't be nominating other people.

Do you have any interesting answers to Becky's questions? Let me know in the comments below!

Most Wanted #2 - MAC Edition

Hey Lovelies! Today I have another most wanted post but this time it is solely dedicated to one make up brand - MAC! Oh how I lust over MAC, especially the lipsticks as you will be able to tell from this post. Here is a print screen of my shopping basket - I will own these one day.

The first thing I reaaallllyyyy want is the Pro Longwear concealer because their mineralise one creases on me slightly if I put too much on by accident (The joys of getting ready early in the morning) and apparently this one doesn't budge or crease alll day so I think it would definitely be right up my street!

I'm really interested in their Melba blusher due to watching Nicole Guerriero videos on YouTube as she uses this a lot and damn I love that girl!

And as you can probably tell, I'm slightly obsessed with lipsticks as I have a total of 7 lipsticks in my basket! I'm not going to go through them individually but I must add that I've looked at swatches online and hopefully all of them will suit my pale skin - boohoo. I only had 6 until recently when I went to a Blogger Social Event in Sunderland and got recommended Chatterbox - the danger of bbloggers coming together!

In total my basket came up to just over £130 which is crazy but no where near as bad as £240 before I cut things down!

Do you have any MAC products calling your name? Or any lipsticks recommendations for pale lil' me? Then let me know in the comments below!

GFC move along.. Bloglovin is here!

Picture from http://snowinateapot.blogspot.co.uk/2011/05/bloglovin.html

Hey lovelies!
Various rumours have been going around saying how GFC - Google Friend Connect (something like that haha) is going and personally this doesn't bother me as I never look at the blogs I follow through that. Ever since discovering bloglovin I've never looked back, it's sooo much easier and less time consuming to just flick through the posts I've missed and comment on people's blogs. I personally don't like the app for my ipad as it doesn't show how pretty some people's blogs are and that's especially annoying when someone has took time and effort to make it look appealing to the eye! But moving onwards haha...

If you follow me on GFC because twice the amount of people follow me on there compared to bloglovin... please follow me on bloglovin so we don't lose our amazing connection ;)

Here is a link to follow me! http://www.bloglovin.com/blog/3792455/lucestephenson

PWEASE do follow me and send me your bloglovin links below so I can follow you because I read EVERY SINGLE POST on bloglovin unlike the 0 posts I read from GFC!

Best BUDGET Fashion Websites

Hey lovelies! So today I'm doing a different post and showing all my secrets to getting clothes for a cheaper price! I'm not huge on buying new clothes but when I do I like to buy many things from one website without breaking the bank so here are the regular online websites I visit...

The first one is everything5pounds.com and you guessed it... everything on the website is £5! This is a hit or miss website for me as it all depends on what stock they get in but I've been getting their emails for donkies now and there is always something that catches my eye!
P.s Sorry if the pics blury - I got it from google!

Second up is MATALAN, I love online shopping and going in store when it comes to Matalan as everything is nice and reasonably priced the only downside for me is that they have lovely bras but they don't do my size - boohoo! Whenever I think of Matalan I always associate it with holiday shopping as this is were I use to go alllll the time when I was a kid haha, recently though they have been stocking some amazing pieces that you'd normally get from Topshop/River Island but for triple the price!

Karma Clothing is next up and this one is my super duper cheap one that I love love love, I've got things from here before when I was trying different leggings etc and I love it! Especially the price (I'm a bargain hunter, whatcha gonna do about it haha) they also do 15% student discount which I thinks amazing considering it's only a little shop (well in my eyes it is).

OMG, Internacionale is amazzzzzing! I never ever use to appreciate the store near my house until it got shut down and now I have to travel further to get to one, I've ordered from them online twice now and one time I got a pair of killer red heels for £15 with free postage! The second time I got 2 peplum tops, baggy trousers, a white knit cardigan for just under £50 which I thought was amazing (I'm sure I bought something else as well though, hmm) I'd definitely recommend signing up to their email because that is how you find out when all the sales are haha!

Lastly is boohoo.com which I fell in love with way way way before it all got hyped up back when I was in the middle of school (I've just finished my second year of college) so that can give you an idea of how long ago it was! You can also get 10% student discount and they always have loads of sales on, I think there is currently a 50% one running so I'd definitely recommend this one too!

I never even realised how many bargain websites I had to recommend (oops) I hope you've enjoyed this type of post and let me know if you'd like to see anymore! Do you have any bargain websites to recommend to me? Let me know below!

Remember, honesty is key.

P.S all these photos are from google images so all credit goes to those who uploaded them.
